Care package from home

This month has been the absolute worst for homesickness.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very much in love with Edinburgh, but it’s been a long time since I was back with A and our families, and it’s hard and I’m just a bit sick of Facebook messenger, late night phonecalls and bleary-eyed skype sessions.

Still, there’s nothing like a care package from home to cheer me up!!

This time mum sent me the most adorable snugglepot and cuddlepie gumnut babies tin filled with delicious ANZAC biscuits (which I’m planning on baking some time this week because it’s ANZAC Day on Saturday).

      1. Yes, it is a special day as we not only remember the people who went to Gallipoli, we remember everyone else who has joined the defence forces and who have also gone to war. And yes, they are pretty nice 🙂
