Tag Tuesday is making a comeback! Woo.
Considering how awfully my reading has been going recently, I thought it was fitting to do the Intimidating TBR (to be read) Tag, because I have A LOT of books to read… (seriously, that image is a visual representation of my TBR list).
1) What book have you been unable to finish? Inkspell, by Cornelia Funke. This makes literally no sense because Inkheart is one of my favourite books of all time, and I really WANT to read Inkspell and Inkdeath, I just never get around to finishing it…
What book have you yet to read because…
2) …you just haven’t had the time? At the moment it feels like literally every book, but that’s definitely a lie.
3) …it’s a sequel? Lords of the North by Bernard Cornwell. I have actually read The Last Kingdom, but still…
4) …it’s brand new? I actually haven’t bought a book in a while because I simply can’t justify it whilst I’m in a reading slump. Probably Uprooted by Naomi Novik. I’ve heard it’s fantastic though!
5) …you read a book by the same author and didn’t enjoy it? I don’t really have any of these because I don’t tend to read books by authors I don’t enjoy. I suppose Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman because I just feel a bit meh about him.
6) …you’re just not in the mood for it? All of the books I need to read for my thesis. Waverly, Rob Roy, Kidnapped, Discipline, and The Heart of Midlothian. I’m pretty sure the only reason I’m not in the mood to read them is BECAUSE they’re for my thesis, which is super annoying.
7) …it’s humongous? A Dance with Dragons. Like, seriously. Why so humongous. Also I’ve now finished Season 5 of GoT (have’t started season 6, please no spoilers) so I guess I’ve kind of lost some of my incentive. I will though. I promise.
8) …because it was a cover buy that turned out to have poor reviews? I genuinely don’t think I have any. I only buy books I’m pretty sure I’ll like or that have good reviews…
9) What is the most intimidating book in your TBR pile? War and Peace or Les Miserables. I really want to read both but they’re SO FUCKING MASSIVE.
Wanderings and Wonderings 
I had precisely the same issue with Inkspell despite rereading Inkheart about five times. And I also never got around to Lords of the North. But after watching the Netflix version of Last Kingdom, I’m not really inspired to commit to it.

Seriously the books are SO much better than the series! Like seriously, so much better! And I’m glad someone else struggled with Inkspell. I loved what I read, but for some reason it didn’t happen…it will though!!
